natalie and little quincy are no strangers to underwood photography. we have been shooting their gorgeous faces since baby Q was born. in january, natalie and jay were married…and this new family was created. not only did jay and natalie each gain a daughter, but quincy and jessie became sisters. let me tell you, these two darling girls kept me laughing the entire time! the camera + jessie were a great match. she hammed it up throughout the session and even photobombed a few of the shots with jay and natalie snuggling. oh. and quincy. wow. the child looks like a doll. photographing her is always a treat.

nat and i put our heads together to brainstorm about a fun setting for their session. the idea for a vintage tea party was perfect. the girls played dress up, had a spot of “tea”, and ate yummy lemon cookies. natalie and jay were such great sports. we couldn’t have had a better time and are so happy with the product of this shoot! what a fantastic day with a fantastic family. their love for one another is truly special and we are grateful we were privileged enough to capture these tender moments between them. we can’t wait for our next “play date” with these guys!

when emily & derrol booked us to shoot their wedding this september…words could not express how elated we were. not only are these two incredibly sweet people, they also have impeccable style. emily has been sharing little details about her dream wedding set to take place on a warm autumn afternoon in grass valley – needless to say…the things that she has planned are right up our alley. i’m not going to give away any of her secrets…all i have to say is that i have a feeling her special day is going to set a wildfire on sites like pintrest. emily & derrol grew up in a little town outside of reno and wanted an engagement shoot that reminded them of the beautiful surroundings of their hometown…soooo…i took them to the house i grew up in…set up a couple of cozy corners on the lawn…and snapped them being ___ well___ adorable. then…we jumped in derrol’s pickup truck and drove through the back roads of reno. when we saw a spot that looked good, derrol stopped the truck, threw the hazards on…and we all jumped out and took some photos. it was so much fun! these two are prefect for each other. it was an honor to be able to photograph a couple that is so deeply in love with one another. you two make our hearts sing. we cannot wait for your big day!!!

christina + kenny are two of the most wonderful and warm people I have had the opportunity to photograph. their love for one another is truly dynamic…and it is evident in the photos. the three of us (plus the bun in the oven) ventured out on a warm april afternoon to capture these images of the expecting parents. there were so many great moments, it was hard for me to decide what to share. here is a glimpse into our day in the trees.

these two are going to be fantastic parents. once the little riley decides she’s done cooking…we will be posting her newborn photos! exciting stuff to come.

jamie and monk met up with us for a so-so-sweet mommy/son shoot. there was plenty of running, laughing, dancing, fishing, and even an impromptu swimming session on this warm autumn day. the dynamic duo kept cracking us up the entire afternoon. it was very evident that jamie and monk share a special bond. we are so honored that they asked us to capture these oh-so-special moments in their lives. their relationship truly exemplifies the unique love that exists between a caring mother and an adoring little boy.

Photographing the Bonnette family is always a treat. Angie, Greg and sweet Vincent are an amazing little family: love and joy literally radiate from the trio. For this shoot, we spent the afternoon cruising around the park while enjoying the fall sunshine. We are anxious to post the rest of this fun filled session…

Kaitlyn, Brandon, and their adorable pooch, Kaya, braved the elements to have us shoot their first ever “family” photo. Not only was the couple extremely photogenic, but Kaya was incredibly well-behaved and seemed to take a liking to the camera immediately. This charming trio warmed our hearts and brought numerous smiles to our faces. We can’t wait to show you the rest, but for the time being…here is a little preview of their session.

Seriously, Jamie and Monk couldn’t stop making us smile during this shoot. This gorgeous mommy and her captivating little one joined us for a little frolicking, dancing,  leaf throwing, and creek “fishing”. Oh Erin  and Nate…what a rad couple. We had so much fun shooting these two darlings on a chilly November afternoon. Not only was it freezing, but it started snaining (you know…snowing + raining) in the middle of our shoot. Needless to say, the couple wasn’t phased AT ALL and we were able to carry out one of our favorite shoots to date. Finding ONLY two images to post was the hardest part about blogging this shoot.
